Wellness Exams, Vaccinations and Preventive Care

Wellness exams are the best kind of exam! We love to see your pet just for a routine check-up. This allows us to catch many health issues before they become a major problem (or, just give your pet some love and treats and a clean bill of health). And, since many animals - especially cats - hide their medical issues very well, it is always helpful to have a trained eye examine your pet... even when you think they are "doing just fine".

 

We are here to take care of all your routine pet care needs, including vaccinations, de-worming, fecal examinations, heartworm tests, and other routine diagnostic work. As they say - an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

Spay, Neuter and Feline Declaw​

We offer routine spay and neuter surgeries for dogs and cats. All routine surgeries are packaged to include an overnight stay, anesthesia, antibiotics, and pain management. ​



Emergency Care

We understand that veterinary care does not always happen on schedule.  During an office-hours emergency, please call (if you can) or indicate to our customer service staff that you have an emergency situation when you walk in.

 

For after-hours emergencies, please call 417-256-6145 and listen to the message for the after hours emergency service options.

 

In-House Pharmacy and Retail Store

For your convenience, we have a full service pharmacy right here in the clinic. Any medications that your pet needs can be sent home with you right away, so treatment is started immediately.  We also have a full retail store in our lobby, which has a variety of food, treats, supplements, leashes & collars, grooming supplies, and parasite preventatives.



Surgery
We house a full-service small animal surgical suite and perform routine soft tissue surgeries (such as spay, neuter, declaw, hernia repair and  growth removals) as well as orthopedic surgery (including fracture repairs and cruciate repairs).

Our facility is equipped with safe gas anesthesia, a cardiovascular monitoring system, and a cutting-edge surgical laser. Our Registered Veterinary Technicians are skilled in anesthesia monitoring. We also offer in house pre-anesthetic screening tests, comprehensive pain management options, and a warm quiet recovery area  to make your pet's surgical experience the safest and most comfortable it can be.

Micro-Chipping

A startling one in three pets will be lost in their lifetime. Micro-chipping helps bring an estimated 94% of those pets back to their families. Micro-chipping is an inexpensive form of permanent identification and a great way to give your pet the best chance of finding their way back home to you.

Dental Care

Our Registered Veterinary Technicians are available to perform a professional dental cleaning for your dog or cat. Dental care is often neglected, but is one of the most important routine preventative procedures you can do for your pet. Bad breath can lead to even bigger health problems and shouldn't be ignored!​



Diagnostic Testing and Imaging​

Our in-house laboratory suite allows us to perform a full-range of diagnostic work on your pet in just minutes. We have a full in-house laboratory for a variety of diagnostic blood work (such as chemistries and hematology). Our portable radiology machine allows us to perform diagnostic x-rays on your pet with results available in just a few minutes. Ultrasound, endoscopy and EKG are also available.
