We are a multi doctor practice specializing in companion animal care and surgery, including dogs, cats and pocket pets. We are located at 1101 State Route 17 West Plains, MO also known as the “Big Red Barn.”
Position Summary
-
Customer service as a priority
-
Answer the telephone, greet clients and scheduling appointments
-
Process customer invoices and take all forms of payment
-
Receptionist related recordkeeping
-
Handle and restrain animals as needed
-
Provide care for animals visiting the clinic and reporting status to veterinarians / technicians

Perform general cleaning of the inside of the clinic including but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning after animals, gathering trash and laundering clinic blankets and towels

Report to manger when supplies are low and in need of reordering or equipment repaired

Maintain a good working relationship with the clinic team

Assist veterinarians and technicians with varied tasks as needed

Regular attendance and timeliness are essential

Perform other duties as assigned

Follow all laws, clinic policies and guidelines
Physical requirements
-
Frequently lift and carry animals weighing up to 40 lbs. Heavier animals with assistance.

Ability to climb, crawl, kneel, bend, sit, walk and stand.
Essential skills and Experience

Education – High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude

Ability to work independently and also as a team

Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong attention to detail and ability to take direction and follow instructions
Compensation and benefits

Competitive wage consistent with position and experience

Standard five (5) day work week, M-TH, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, F-8:00 am – 11:00 am

Average hours worked, 34 – 36 hours per week (full time) 16-20 hours (part time)

Very limited evening or after-hours responsibilities
